UNFORM COMPONENTS

UnForm Document Management incorporates several features and components, all designed to work seamlessly together.  The UnForm server always includes document enhancement features, print management, and both email and fax delivery of documents.  In addition to this base product, the following additional features are offered:

Document archiving, which provides a secure, extensively indexed, document repository, viewable with a web browser.  Document libraries are encrypted and compressed storage files, protecting the documents themselves from file system navigation. The document files can be virtually any format, most often PDF and image formats, but also text, XML, Office documents, drawings, and so on.  The only limitation is a 2GB file size limit and the ability of a viewing system to display the file when viewed or downloaded via a web browser.

Document Imaging, which is a Windows-based tool designed to scan or import images, identify them via barcode and OCR recognition, and upload them into libraries.  The Image Manager provides extensive programmability to automate processing.

The Design Tool is a browser-based component that provides developers with an integrated editing and test environment for rule files.  Using the Design Tool can save many hours of effort in rule set development.

The Windows Support Server provides an UnForm server with features that may not be available in some Unix systems, such as access to current versions of GhostScript and Image Magick, the Microsoft Fax Server, and ODBC access.  The WIndows Support Server is a no-charge component that runs on any modern Windows system on the same network where the UnForm server operates.
