Design Tool Tips and Tricks
The UnForm Design Tool provides a robust development environment
for UnForm rule files. It is a rich tool that provides many capabilities.
This session will focus on getting the most benefit from the tool,
and will demonstrate the new features offered in version 7.1, such
as rule file security and encryption.

UnForm Archiving
UnForm's archiving capabilities have been expanded in version 7.1, with new
fields, new indexes, optimized searching, and more powerful browsing and
client API interfaces. In addition, a new security model adds group-level
security and safe external, EntityID-driven access. This session will provide an
in depth look at these new features.

Image Manager Usage
The UnForm Image Manager is a companion program that extends archiving to
include not just internally printed documents but external documents as well.
This tool has been significantly upgraded over its 7.0 predecessor. This
first session will focus on the use of the tool, including file importing and
scanning, bulk and user assignment, OCR and barcode recognition, and simple jobs.

Image Manager Scripting
The Image Manager supports the use of VBScript to automate tasks and extend
the programs usability. Using scripting, custom forms can be designed to prompt
the user for information, databases can be used for lookup and validation,
related documents in the archive can be updated, and more. This session
will demonstrate some of these capabilities, generating new ideas for how
you can leverage this unique capability.

UnForm Configuration
As UnForm has grown in capabilities, often through companion and external
products, its configuration has grown more complex. This session will discuss
the various sections of the configuration file, as well as integration with
external products such as the Windows Support Server, GhostScript, Image Magick,
and Apache and IIS web servers.

PostScript Printers
With more and more new printers no longer fully supporting PCL5, PostScript is becoming
a more common format for UnForm output. This session will discuss how PostScript
impacts rule sets, and will provide information about locating and modifying
PostScript PPD files, which are used to provide control over duplex, bin, and tray
features of a printer.

Desktop Delivery and Forms
Desktop delivery and desktop forms are two significant features of UnForm 7.1.
Under the control of a rule set, documents can be displayed on a user's workstation,
or stored for later retrieval. In addition, forms can be presented to a user while
a job runs, so a rule set can ask for information such as delivery information or
printing approval. This session will discuss the configuration of these capabilities
and demonstrate their use.

eDelivery and eArchive Mergable Rule Sets
SDSI recently published special rule sets that assist in the development of fax and email
delivery applications. These rule sets are simple to customize and can then be merged
into your rule files. This session demonstrates the use of this rule file, as well as an
additional mergable rule file that can be used to easily adapt existing rule files to use
archiving and scanning.

Code Block Programming Tips
UnForm code blocks are its most powerful feature. With code blocks, virtually any document
processing or manipulation is possible. This session will provide samples and demonstrations
of features such as sub-jobs, multi-format control, the exec() function, and job page management.
Further discussion about the many functions available will also be presented.

Report Mining with UnForm and sdOffice
UnForm can interface with sdOffice, providing a reporting mining platform that leverages
UnForm code blocks and its knowledge of any report's contents. This session will demonstrate
samples of working with Excel, Word, and Outlook from an UnForm print job.

Closing Session, where we wrap up final questions, talk about
the future, and give away the raffle gifts.
