Infor SX.enterprise™ Integration
SDSI has developed a rule file for Infor SX.e, based upon samples provided by users of this product.
This rule file provides document print formatting functionality, as well as optional email and
fax delivery, barcoding and archiving features.
If you encounter any problems with this rule file, send a sample text print file and your copy
of the rule file to support@synergetic-data.com, so that we can analyze and correct any problems.
UnForm is typically interfaced to SX.e via its printer configuration:
SA SETUP → Printer Setup → Choose Printer → Device or Command
The device or command can be an UnForm client command line, with the last option being "-ix" to
account for the file name that SX.e appends to the command line, which becomes UnForm's input
stream.
For example, the command might be:
uf71c -f sxe.rul -o ">lp -dhp4000 -oraw" -ix
If the length of the command line exceeds the capacity of the configuration, you can create a script
(or batch file on Windows) to perform the command. In such a script, the "$1" value will be the
name of the input file. In a batch file, the argument is referenced as %1.
Enhanced SX.e Rule File
Below are links to a zip file containing the current SX.e rule files. These rule files offer
a number of features, including support for the form 1 and form 3 formats, with both portrait and
landscape in many cases. In addition, this integrates the eDelivery engine for automated
email and fax delivery of documents.
Please download the eSXe_v71-1.zip file, which contains
rule files and samples of the many documents, along with detailed implementation instructions
and scripts for creating demonstation examples.
The zip file should be extracted into your UnForm server directory. For an overview of
the contents, see the eSXe_README_v71-1.pdf
file. For detailed documentation, see the readme_eSXe_v71-1.pdf in the ehelp directory.
