Thanks to Dave Burris for this article (editted to current version):
Counterpoint does not interpret multiple pipes and redirects correctly in a synsuppl entry. You must create a script to do execute uf80c. Created /usr/local/bin/unformlp.sh.
Here are the /usr/syn752/synsuppl entries and script.
dd_unform=">/usr/local/bin/unformlp.sh"; export dd_unform
dd_unformpdf=">/usr/bin/uf80c -p pdf
-o /usr/tmp/cpout.pdf";export dd_unformpdf
These entries will enable printers named "unform" and "unformpdf" to be configured in Counterpoint.
Note that since the dd_unformpdf entry does not contain any pipes or redirects other than to uf60c, it can run without in intermediate script.
/usr/local/bin/unformlp.sh:
#!/bin/sh
# Cat the output into unform to create a formatted pcl document which is then
# redirected to the laserjd hplaserjet printer.
cat - > /tmp/$$.unform
/usr/bin/uf80c -ix /tmp/$$.unform -f cp7.rul -o '>lp -oraw -s -dlaserjd' |
