sdStor server downloads include documentation in Adobe Acrobat® (sdstor10.pdf) format.
Free Acrobat Readers are available from Adobe's
web site, or by clicking the Acrobat Reader link, below.
Server Instructions
Unix:
As the root user:
- Choose/Create a directory to store the sdStor software.
- Place the download file in the directory.
- Uncompress the file: uncompress filename (it must end in upper-case .Z - rename if necessary)
- Unextract the file: tar xvf filename
- Read the readme.txt file for current information.
- In the sdStor directory, execute ./setup.sh.
- Test the installation by running "sdstor10 -v".
Windows NT or 95:
- Execute the download file to install sdStor.
- From the Start - Programs - sdStor Server menu, choose the Run Setup option to locate the
Visual PRO/5 or ProvideX run-time. If you downloaded a bundled version, the run-time is located
the "\sdsi\rt" directory on your primary disk drive, generally C:.
- Test the installation by running the sdStor Information option.
